Self-Destructing Bacteria Provide Some Atmospheric Breathing Room

My last blog entry on the creation of biofuel using bacteria got me doing some additional research. It seems that Arizona State University has also been actively involved in this process as well. In fact, their continuing research was funded with a $5M grant from British Petroleum (BP) and the Science Foundation Arizona.

It appears that this area of research might be an emerging area of interest of this blog. Read on to see what the multi-disciplinary team (Biodesign Institute / School of Life Sciences) has been able to accomplish.
